Tucked behind a tall bamboo fence on prestigious Wianno Avenue, this professionally designed garden is a hidden sanctuary where artistry and nature intertwine. Meandering paths of Goshen stone guide visitors through sweeping hydrangeas in shades of blue, pink, and white, past a beautiful wooden arbor, and into a vibrant pollinator haven alive with butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Rare and unusual plants bloom alongside familiar favorites. Please park in village lots and walk over. Garden diagonally across from Catholic church.

Step into a living canvas during Hydrangea Fest, where color and texture come together in a captivating display. Nearly three dozen hydrangeas—ranging from the rich blues of Nico to the luminous whites of Limelight and Annabelle—create a vibrant, serene landscape.
Wander among ten distinctive Japanese Maple cultivars, from the deep reds of Bloodgood and Emperor’s Red to graceful weeping greens, golden Full Moon varieties, and the intricate foliage of Samurai and Butterfly maples. This garden is both elegant and immersive.
Local Landscape Designer, Dorrit Kingsbury, Creates her Own Four Season Garden in Osterville

Designed to wow the senses with elegance and folly, this landscape invites both lively gatherings and peaceful respite. Using color as a sculptural element and evergreens for year-round definition and flair, the contrasting textures and forms feel luxurious yet accessible.
Distinct focal points draw the viewer to visit the firepit shrouded by cherry trees, wind in and out of the hornbeam topiary arches, settle onto the bench at the end of a garden pathway, and savor the sunset from the newest garden destination at the front of the property.

Bursting with classic Cape Cod charm, this inviting garden is a must-see for hydrangea lovers and summer bloom enthusiasts alike. Surrounding a traditional Cape home, waves of Endless Summer, Purple Mopheads, and Limelight hydrangeas paint a stunning portrait of color and texture. But the beauty doesn’t stop there—graceful White Drift and Austin Davis roses mingle with fragrant lavender, airy catmint, and bold salvia, creating a vibrant, ever-changing display.

Tucked within one of Osterville’s most picturesque neighborhoods, where stately homes meet quiet, winding lanes, lies a garden unlike any other on the Hydrangea Festival tour.
The Chesbro Garden is not just a place of blooms. It is a living story.
Established in 1929, at the height of the Great Depression, this land began humbly as a “Berry Patch,” where raspberries were carefully cultivated to help support a family through uncertain times. Here, gardening was never just a pastime, it was a way of life. Knowledge passed through generations of the Crocker family, whose earlier gardens supplied fresh produce to the community, sometimes delivered door-to-door by wheelbarrow. That spirit of practical beauty still defines the space today. And this year, the garden tells an even richer story.
Now lovingly maintained by the next generation, Paul, an Osterville historian in his 80‘s, the garden is a striking blend of past and present, where historic roots meet fresh vitality.

Visitors pay a $5 admission per garden, directly at each location, with all proceeds from OVL-hosted gardens supporting the library.
