The Osterville Village Library is a privately funded nonprofit dedicated to serving our community and beyond. Unlike a town-funded library, we rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations to keep our doors open and our programs thriving. While we receive a helpful grant from the Town of Barnstable, the majority of our support comes from contributions made by our community.
Our funding is powered by heartfelt appeal letters, vibrant community events, major naming opportunities, estate gifts, and more. In 2019, we took a significant step toward long-term sustainability by establishing an endowment with the Cape Cod Foundation, allowing us to invest in the future of the library and the people it serves.
Every gift, large or small, strengthens our mission and helps us continue providing a rich variety of resources, experiences, and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
